Pekanbaru, January 29, 2026 – The academic community of the Department of Agricultural Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, participated in the Socialization and Training of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams as Work Optimization Platforms, held on Thursday (January 29) at the Kampar Theater, Integrated Classroom, Riau University. This activity is part of the university's efforts to support digital transformation in the academic workplace.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Dr. Ir. Sofyan Husein Siregar, MPhil. In his remarks, he stated that the use of integrated information technology is crucial for improving work effectiveness, administrative efficiency, and collaboration between units at Riau University.
This activity was organized by the UPA ICT (Information and Communication Technology) of Riau University in collaboration with the IT institution Quadra Luminari. The training was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the use of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams as digital work platforms that support integrated communication, coordination, and document management.
Participants received hands-on guidance in practicing the use of various features, such as cloud-based storage management, online document collaboration, virtual meeting setup, and team task management. This session helped participants understand how to maximize technology to support daily academic and administrative activities.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the academic community of the Faculty of Agriculture, particularly the Department of Agricultural Technology, will become more adaptive in utilizing digital technology. Optimizing the use of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams is expected to increase productivity, strengthen collaboration, and support the creation of a more modern and efficient work system at the University of Riau.
